The Carlinville Board of Education welcomes communications from staff members, parents, students, and community members. Individuals may submit questions or communications for the Board's consideration to the Superintendent or may use the [email protected]. School board email is directed to the Board President, Vice President and Superintendent.
In accordance with the Open Meetings Act and the Oath of Office taken by Board members, individual Board members will not (a) reply to an email on behalf of the entire Board, or (b) engage in discussion of District business with a majority of Board quorum.
Please remember, when you send an e-mail to the Board, this e-mail becomes a public document. Therefore, it most likely will become a document subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and may be discussed during any open session of a C.U.S.D #1 Board of Education meeting. In the event that you would like to privately discuss a situation with the Board of Education, please contact Dr. Becky Schuchman, [email protected] the C.U.S.D. #1 Superintendent, to see if your request meets the legal requirements for a closed session meeting.
Finally, in order for the Board of Education to address your concerns, the school district asks that you include your full name, address, and phone number where you can be reached within your e-mail.
